Dark Sweet Cherries come from the best of the crop to bring you unsurpassed, premium quality. S&W Dark Sweet Cherries are a fat-free food and contain no preservatives. Great as toppings over ice cream, frozen yoghurt, waffles, pancakes, cheesecakes and other desserts.

After the cherries are bleached, they're soaked in another solution with sugar, red food dye, and bitter almond oil for about four weeks. This treatment provides them with bright red color and sweet taste.

The cherries are first soaked in a brine solution that typically contains calcium chloride and sulfur dioxide. This bleaches the cherries, removing their natural red pigment and flavor.

These delectable glazed cherries are moist and sugary sweet. They make a gorgeous addition to holiday treats, such as thumbprint cookies, homemade cherry candies and other baked goodies.
